Tips for First time Flyers
If you're flying for the first time or haven't travelled in a long due to the pandemic, you may be nervous, excited, or a mix of the two. Being a passenger on a plane, on the other hand, is not stressful. All you have to do now is acquire the necessary paperwork, arrive on time, and relax.
We realize that you may have some questions, as with everything you do for the first time. That's why, , we've put together a list of 7 travel recommendations for first-time passengers that will properly prepare you for your journey and ensure there are no surprises when you take off. It also includes tips for people who have forgotten what flying was like before COVID.
1.) Luggage Guidelines
2.) Documents Needed
Although not all travel papers are necessary, if you forget your passport, ID card, or a required visa, you will be denied boarding or denied entry to the nation you are visiting. Make sure you have your flight PNR number ready to provide to the check-in agent if you're checking in at the airport. Make sure you have your boarding pass printed out or stored on your phone if you're checking in online.
Check for your travel documents frequently before and throughout your journey to ensure you haven't misplaced or forgotten them.
3.) Arrive Before Time
It is usually a good idea to depart before the airport closes on the day of trip. There's a risk you'll be stuck on the road, which is a possibility in a country like India, which deals with high traffic loads on a regular basis. If you haven't checked in online, you can do so at the airport if you arrive early enough. Because you can't predict whether airports will be busy or not, and check-in desks normally open 2-4 hours before departure, it's best if you arrive early and get it done quickly.
4.) Dress Comfortably
Dress in loose-fitting clothes that makes you relax. It's a pain to sit on a plane for hours in clothes that make you uncomfortable, especially on long-haul journeys.
If you have someone you would like to impress when you arrive, you can pack clothes in your carry-on luggage and change when you get at the airport.
5.) Check in Online
6.) Weigh your Baggage at Home
To avoid a high airport fee, get out the scales and weigh your luggage at home. You'll be charged an excess baggage fee if your luggage exceeds the airline's allowable weight allowance, which may sometimes be more than the cost of checking the bag in the first place.
7.) Inside Plane Guide
For a pleasant and enjoyable flight, store your cabin bags on the above the head shelf. Put your phone in aeroplane mode or turn it off. All you have to do now is pay attention to the directions given to you by the flight crew for a safer voyage.
